Re: TT 2011...important...engine spec
This TT engine thing is getting dafter by the minute. What difference will standard lift camshafts make to the situation the sidecar class at the TT is in at the moment? It may be something that keeps the insurance side of the job sweet but it certainly wont increase the numbers. The F2 class is what it is now because of the TT. So if the TT is waining, where does this leave the F2s.

I see you`re still enjoying the memory of your parade lap on the longun, then Dick!
Couldn`t agree more with Bludge, bring race B back to Monday - done and dusted in a week then! Much more fun, intense and affordable.

stated on page 6 of this post by lovingit, standard lift cams for tt2011. Stated on page 5 of this post by teamradar that the tec regs to remain for tt2011.Can i ask who,s running the tt2011, as i have said early in this post, can we see a OFFICAL letter from the ACU ? FSRA ? or THE IOM DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ?. Sorry if people think this sounds a bit sharp, but i think this would enable people to know where they stand for tt 2011

Re: TT 2011...important...engine spec
I am sure it will all be put in writing soon, but for now I would advise listening to Dean Banks (lovingit) or Hasbeen (John Smith) as they are involved in the FSRA committee and are part of the team that are sorting this out.

Sometimes you just can't win.
Dean and Myself[on behalf of the F.S.R.A.] along with others have spent a lot of our time and effort plus time off work
{well Dean I dont do that four letter word anymore} To try to agree with the A.C.U. a
way of slowing sidecars a little for the TT [which the A.C.U. say HAS TO HAPPEN] without
it costing you all a lot of money.
The trouble was we tried to get you all the notice we could. Hence the first post Dean put on here. which was the outcome of the first meeting. But This was then thought to need more disscusion meaning another day off and another trip to rugby. At which it was decided on the 2nd post Dean put on here on page 6.Which is as we understand it is how its going to be.
and will be in the TT regs for 2011.As we were told whatever we agreed on at the last meeting at Rugby is how it would be.If we had left it until you got an offical letter the notice you all
had to make any changes you need to do would have been greatly reduced. we also wanted to inform you before we all do our winter engine rebuilds.
Hope this clears up a few points
cheers John

Re: TT 2011...important...engine spec
i think that the plate that we have to put in at the front of the engine up to the headers and the rear plate makes the motors run to hot, rear plate i can agree with but when dose oil go forwards? it appears to me that there's more blow ups after we'v had to stop air cooling the motor.

Re: TT 2011...important...engine spec
nicky mate....is your engine not water/oil cooled???????or is it air cooled.....yes the plates will stop air moving directly onto your engine but is your air not hot fron the brakes, tyre and exhaust....do you not run a oil cooler and radiator....are they not there to cool your engines....yes you do need some air flow to remove standing heat but im sure that the air turbulance under the seat will do that....the plate at the front is there for 2 main reasons ...to try and stop any engine parts from reaching the track if you blow an engine...also when you then need to stop they are trying to stop any fluids from getting onto the track when braking and coming to a halt......ive had no issues yet due to the plate as i try and run an effective cooling system.....ta matt dixnicky d wrote:i think that the plate that we have to put in at the front of the engine up to the headers and the rear plate makes the motors run to hot, rear plate i can agree with but when dose oil go forwards? it appears to me that there's more blow ups after we'v had to stop air cooling the motor.
