The Kawasaki was a beast, Warwick had the motors done by Phil Manzarno ( not sure of spelling) he used to tune the motors for the Dutch drag racer Henk Vink. We would always be in the first group into the first corner and hold the lesser yams on the straights but could'nt touch them through the corners due to the weight of the motor. Remember doing a national at Mallory, went from the back row to second into Gerards and having Jock, Trevor Ireson,Greasly and co drive go round us as Warwick wrestled the bike. Had some great fun at Aintree with Des Founds, Les Hurst and Co.Happy days

Aintree 1983, think it was early April. Me in the middle with the red, white & blue leathers on with my brother in law with genuine Honda UK "brown" leathers. :lachtot: :lachtot:
We were on our 350 Yam amongst 750 TZ'ds & 4 cyl multi's.
I think that is Des Founds with the blue jumper on behind my brother in law, they wore jumpers because they were nesh comming from Neston :lachtot:

Cracking pics Ian I'll try and dig out some of mine. I always remember Des founds on a white outfit with yellow striping ???? two coloured leathers - maroon legs with white upper half, not sure if thats him or not that you say ??????????? what did you do with the 350 ?
Ever remember a lad called Matthew Nelson from Southport ? started off on a Suzuki GS1000 outfit .......... very quick !! think he then switched to a TZ700 under the JG racing banner ?

THINK IT COULD BE MALC AND TONY JACKSON MALC IN THE JUMPER
