Is the paddock area really nice? as I want to improve my lap times walking around looking for bits for the bike
Plan A: Race
Plan B: wondering around with part of the bike in my hand looking ambivalent

the paddock would put a motorcross track to shame

The paddocks shocking, but it has a better surface than parts of the track.
They are a very friendly bunch though.
I forgot the massage!...............Can I transfer my booking to Darley?
Does it cost any more is Mrs. B does it????????????

Try a bit of crying on your walkabout, you should get loads of bits then.

Moving back on to the topic of the Darley Meeting I dropped in there this sunday and had a chat with the chap in charge ( Cant remember his name but a really amiable bloke) .
I was just having a bit of a recce but they said there is a BIG issue with noise control!! Apparently they have the local council on their backs as some sort of pre-emptive measure. ie: they havent had any complaints but they are at them anyway just in case
They are only allowed 14 racing days a year and they had to take them ( the local authorities) through a legal process to get that!!
Also one of the local authority representatives goes to the meeting and is measuring the 'drive by' noise levels on the track.
All that being said, Darley Moor run the ciricuit on a volunteer basis and do it because they love the sport. if we are too loud they will stop us racing and I couldn't blame them for that.
Overall it all sounds a bit of a familiar scene, not everybody loves the sound of classic racing machines so we either comply or get excluded and this noise situation is only going to get worse
Thinking about it, wasnt them sort of directive from the website manager about not moaning??

So best to take this note as an informative comment

Great post Mike. Glad to hear you found the folk at Darley positive. The noise thing is definately a problem but rather than everyone complain about it we just need to comply (breaks my heart as the nosie of a triple on an open megga is pure sex!). Thing is if we don't we will end up with even stricter noise limits and fewer circuits to race at.

Lol. Quite informative

i didnt realise they only get 14 days. Once we are all on electric bikes what will the locals come up with next?
