What a fantastic variety of bikes there - looks worth a trip just to look at all the different ideas....

Yes - I saw that one too...how on earth does he ride it ? - looks like you'd need very long arms ?
Just thought it was good to see a few different bikes there - even see a few proper engines - at least one kettle - and what looks like a T500 - and maybe an aircooled kawasaki triple ??

Not sure what it is chassis wise - interesting centre hub steering mind ;) and I think the motor is Kawasaki ZX6R or similar :?:

There certainley was a great selection of outfits at Croix.Mainly BMW's ,but a lot of two strokes aswell.Indeed there were two kettle outfits, a t500 and a kawasaki triple (which was very fast). Including our outfit there were three Triumph triple's. There was also a Bush Bmw ,which sounded awesome.
THere was some outfit's with some very interesting parts fitted, like Yamaha R6 calipers and some of the welding on the frames was scary tolook at :o .
The centre hub steered outfit was very interesting , but looked very uncomfortable to be on. lol.

It really was a great weekend and i would jump at the chance todo it again.

It took me a while to get used to the right-hand chairs.

Would I be correct in thinking it was a "parade" weekend ? - think I read somewhere it was...what I would be interested to know - is do any of these outfits get raced anywhere - or are they "old stuff dragged out for a day ?
If they are being raced - where at ? - it's good to see a few different outfits - and it would appear some are "home brewed" too - looks to me as though they are having a lot of fun "building and riding" without it all getting too serious ?

Looks to have been a real good weekend....very jealous...

I'm not putting MY chair on the right - even if it is France...

Gordon it was indeed a 'parade' weekend but of course done in the traditional French (& Belgium) way of go as fast as you like :D The variety of outfits was awesome and a lot of them are regularly raced in various championships in Europe whilst some are just built and ridden at the likes of the croix meeting.

We did a similar meeting at Dijon-Prenois when we first restored the Kirby BSA. Didn't mention it much at the time as the rear swinging arms parted company with the pivot  so officially the first successful outing was announced as Mallory VMCC 1000 bikes in 2006. Must admit that apart from our woes Dijon was a really good meeting, super weather and fantastic crowds. We would have liked to have done Croix (they contacted me originally via the TR3OC to see if we knew of any interested sidecar crews, so I published it on this forum - viewtopic.php?f=13&t=21653&p=168084&hilit=croix#p168084" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but now I am working in school most of the time it was not possible. Glad you had a good time, Grant & Ian.
