Bought 08 Yamaha R6 engine - help appreciated

I have bit the bullet and bought an 08 R6 engine for my old Shelbourne rig.

Haven't received it yet but had a few questions for guys over there that may be running these engines :-

The Yamaha sump seems to be pretty deep (in the pictures) relative to my Thundercat engines - does the sump need to be cut down? And do oil baffles need to be made for this engine to last?

Also what kind of oil are the R6 guys running over there and how much of it (with or without the cut sump)?

And does the EXUP valve need to be in place to get the best out of this engine? I was hoping to modify the exhaust that was custom made for the Thundercat engine.

And what is the best LCD instrument / speedo / temp / rpm / shift light thingy to use?

Lot's of questions I know - what do you expect from a dumb computer guy?

See ya.

Mick

15/50 fully synthetic but you have to warm the motor well before going out or you can use 10/40 semi synthetic you will have to mod /buy a short sump and you must use a baffle or you will be sorry :D the camchain tensioners can be poor as well dont know anyone who uses the exhaust valve :D
