For instance mine come almost ready to go, other chassis come in boxes and build it yourself., which is fair enough if that reflects in the cost.
One thing that is never reflected in costs is quality of the welds but make no mistake, if your doing a DIY weld your life could depend on it...

I have been working for a major rollcages manufacturer/installer who also send out cages in kit form. The problem is that the integrity of the cage is only as strong as its welds. The welder who welds it up has to submit pre-determined weld tests samples which are tested to destruction. If the weld fails no certificates of conformity are issued and without it, the car will not pass scrutineering to participate.

And that is just for a roll cage, now how good is your DIY frame

Somehow i dont think Mike means a `weld it up your self` chassis. Only a complete prat would but one of those, IF they exist. Enlighten me please.

I'm surprised there is no price list on the LCR site as I've seen a list before now on paper. It would be easy to put up on there as a pdf.
