Hold up chaps I think we're jumping the gun! Until the official championship points are published on the CRMC website nothing is official and then I think you'll find that although Eddy and Vicky scored more points through the season, if you take into account that you have to drop four rounds, Brian Gray and Alan Bedford win by a margin of 9 points. This is STILL unofficial though!!

Regardless of who actually won the championship,(by my working out Brian and Alan) it has been another fantastic season; as happened last year the championship going down to the last weekend's racing. A massive thanks to all the officials for another terrific weekend and a special big thanks to Dave Gristwood, personal sponsor of the sidecar class and to Bill Barracliff for his generosity in sponsoring the sidecar handicap race today.

Next year's provisional dates have been published - looking forward to another fantastic year of sidecar racing.

What a fantastic year we have had with the CRMC. It dosn't really matter who has won the championship. The racing the company, and the party'ing has been second to none. The sidecar class goes from strength, to strength thanks to Ian Johnson (aka) the sidecar bloke. Top Venues with solo entry fees, marshalls who know what they are doing, just bring on next season we cant wait. Ed n Vics.

On a personal note:
I agree with everything Ed says about the CRMC crowd and Ian in particular.

But thanks to Ed and Vic as well, I've had 13 years off, and it's been Shelli's first season. Their help and support has been magnificent,

.......and provisional dates already....well done The Classic Club 8-)

Also, (and especially,) well done to Sidecar Bloke Ian because here, we have someone who energetically fulfills his role and positively encourages everyone to compete, to the 'rules' of the classic club, whilst having a blinkin good time, on and off the track and getting full grids! Being positive really does get results..........Classics are the future! 8-)

On behalf of Team Gristwood a big thank you to the CRMC and to Ian Johnson. Ian and David have both been a great help.

On a personal note a big thank you to Peter Williams at Interlock Racing without who's help and enthusiasm I do not think Dave and I would have got out this year.

Also, a big thank you to Mr G for help and support (when he manages to stay on :o ).

Great year.

Simon

Well seen as we are on thank you's......
Ok goes without saying, huge thanks to Ed who has brought me on so much as a passenger this season and what I have learnt I have been able to carry over to the F2s . We have had a fantastic season....

Mum, thanks for making the tea and............... yep thats about it ;)

Mogli, our little technician, he has been great this season, for a 12 year old lad to come racing with us with no complaints no hassle and lots of committment, he has got to have a huge pat on the back. This lad is a star of the future so watch this space!

Last but not least thanks to the CRMC and Ian Johnson for making this season possible with full grids, good circuits and good banter... cheers!

If I've forgotton anyone, tough :D

Enough, enough - I'm starting to blush! Well - one or two more comments would be alright!

I've loved sidecars since I was a kid so what I do is no hardship and if it helps the class then I'm more than happy to continue doing my bit.

The atmosphere in the sidecar paddock is down to you lot - sidecar people are a special breed and the good ambience is what encourages people to join us. So a huge thanks to everybody who has made this season another fantastic year and a massive thanks to Dave Gristwood, without whom we would be a poorer lot.

If you start mentioning people like Dennis and Christine with the karaoke and Captain Sparra' with his red and white tape you end up missing someone so I won't go down that road.

Team Banshee has had something of a cr*p season this year with either being in the wrong place at the wrong time or obscure bits just dropping off but NEXT YEAR we're going to be back with, hopefully everybody that took part this year and some new additions.

See you at the AGM/Dinner Dance - let's have a few more questions this year and as Mike Bellaby says "Pembrey in 25 weeks".

Tiptop job by everyone especially Ian for getting outfits on the grid again, must have been akin to getting water to run uphill ;)

'obscure bits just dropping off ' - Sure you're not using the wrong sort of duct tape :?:
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!
