No, nothing like it. That one has got rear suspension and the engine sits lower in the frame. Wonder if it is still around?

I stand corrected!
All these bike engined outfits look the same to me.
The engine doesn't sit as low as Matty's!

You can see there why we have the rule about closed loop handholds. Back then that one would've been more like a lance in an accident

I don't think the rule so relevant now with the centre handhold on an LCR, it's not quite in such a prominent position but we're stuck with it still (for now ?)

The last Shirlaws photo is at Crimond, but I think its Fred Cornbill (my old passengers dad) on his Honda outfit not Mac Hobson. as far as I can remember Malcolm last raced at Crimond in 72 on his BSA outfit. Both Malcolm (and Fred to a lesser extent) were sponsored by Ray Hamilton, team Ham Yam. the bike in the picture looks like Ham Yam colours.
