Dick, Vince Winstanley & Eric Amman had a pair of Krauser 4 valves on their F2 BM in the late 80's, early 90's. Vince sold the bike to Bill Gilroy who put 2 valve heads on then sold on the 4 valvers. There could be a market for getting someone to have a word with Mike Krausers son, I bet he still has the moulds for the castings?

Your memory is fading Dick, when I told you I sold it to a French guy you told me that not only you but also your misses would never speak to me again, or that might hace been Wally saunders
French guy by the name of Bruno Leglise bought it from me in April last year, he's been campaigning it over there in anger. I still regret selling it but it seemed the right move at the time.
I've put a request in the classic section for a Weslake crank the one in the outfit I sold him snapped last week.

Billy Hog works at Eclips motorcycles in Tranent Eastlothian still alive and well will pass on the message that someone still loves him sure he still has the BMW was it not Joe Heys that built the chassis.

Gordon and Bill built the outfit themseves and a bute it is.They quite often get to East Fortune mainly the Bob Mac meetings if it does not clash with a auto jumble.Yes Bill works for Gordon Brown at Elite and I think Gordon Hogg works for an engineering company not greengrocery.

That BM was superb. The swinging arm pivot went through the centre of the diff crown-wheel and then it ran a sprocket and chain to the back wheel !

Hi Andy The diff was attached directly to the gearbox with a counter shaft to the rear sprocket. I have a photo but its to big to scan and put on the site

Their preparation was spot on,although the Bm was sometimes a problem. But when it went, wow.
