Hi,
Just like to say a hugh thanks to everyone that helped and gave offers of help with getting my engine to the IOM for the TT. Especial thanks goes to "The one and only Helen Gibson"; Kevin Iddon; and Steve Howarth.

Unfortunately we crashed on Thursdays practice and never got to race.
Joe was baddly injured in the crash and is still in Nobles at the moment. He has started to make a recovery but will possibly need further surgery later.

Thank you to all well wishers, I and many of you I have spoken to wish him a speedy recovery.

Also I would like to wish a speedy recovery to Dean, Pete and Keir.
Get well soon one and all.........

Nigel

Joe's a lot better tonight. I won't be letting him do his baby bird act any more... he can feed himself now!! He's aware of the day of the week, no longer thinks he crashed "near here" and is looking forward to getting across to have his treatment in Yorkshire. It's so good to see someone get better so quickly. Seems to think he might be back here racing in 2011!

Joe's back to his normal daft self! Looking forward to getting sent back to Bradford. I'll let you know when that happens. Off to see him, with some bananas, his only request!

He IS bananas Helen, I am going to have great fun reminding him of some of the things he said when he wasn't quite with it...........a few things he didn't say may creep in too ;) , he won't know he didn't say them.

It is good to see Nigel getting back to his normal self too  , he was devastated by what happened to Joe.

Joe will soon put Nigel right on that, Dan. He sees it as an accident, no more, no less, and very happy to get back on with Nigel. Top lad, Nigel.

Heard a lot of complimentary comments about Nigel's driving and attitude. Look forward to having them back in 2011.

Latest update on Joe. A local solo rider has lent me a DVD player for him (no TV or radio in the ward, and the day room TV is on f**tball :_( all the time) Last seen enjoying the Purple Helmets and he has a TT Guide video to get him practicing for next year! He's still stiff and sore, but looks great.Tomorrow I'm getting a wheelchair and taking him up to visit Pete, and maybe out to the cafe.
