just had a message from helen gibson.....she is really sad that so few people have been and seen or called or even sent a card/letter to someone thats in nobles hospital.....the main person is poor joe....he is stuck there on his own and has been there for 3 weeks now and may be there a while yet .........im in the same boat and haven sent or called but will do so in the day or so......so make the effort....will get helen to post the details for him and any others with contact no.s and addresses... make the effort people eeven if for 2 minutes by pen or phone.........................THANKS ALL........just remember it could be YOU........

Joe Shardlow is in Ward 1. Nobles Hospital,The Strang, Braddan, Douglas IM4 4RJ
Pete Alton and Nick Crowe are in Ward 11, same place.
All hope to be out very soon... but who knows!?
Joe has been there so long he has developed a Manx accent, Nick is already planning his escape, and Pete is waiting for his pot to settle.

Hi All, yes its me Steve and I,m free mate they let me out today. I am Stopping in Port Stmary for a couple of days and then back home for a couple. I need to return for further treatment, but one step at a time and by heck I mean one step at a time. lol x

Been Back to the Hospital this morning and spent a bit of time with Joe, He is still in there poor bugger! They have said it should be some time next week before he gets home.

Poor soul! I took home the dvd player last night because he was emphatic he wouldn't need it again. I took it back in, with some dvds this morning. May not manage to see him tomorrow as I have Jurby all day, but will try. Hope to goodness he gets home Monday. he reckons the hosp in Yorkshire will give him the once over and send him home. he has never had his eye socket fixed.
The other patients have been really nice to him... they say they've got him on the holiday rota and booked him for the Xmas dinner!

Really feel for him! I've been right round the three week menu at Nobles too!
