It's Alan Fisher's from East Yorkshire, there's a picture of it in the "Post Your Photo's" forum being paraded at the Festival of 1000 bikes at Mallory Park recently.

I don't think Alan races it nowadays, it's just used for very occasional parading as far as I know, Geoff.

I always try and `parade` as fast as i can, but if i started racing it i would be really trying, so its safer to just get the occasional adrenalin rush now.

Don`t know to be honest. It used to be Brian Tomlins outfit, but is an old chassis that has seen a lot of changes, from 10 inch wheels and a BSA twin to 13 inchers and when the Imp blew up the Honda 6 went in. Used to race against Brian a lot, so remembered the outfit well. We used to race the old John Coates/John Holden 6 outfit. I went to buy a CBX 6 engine off brian and he still had the outfit just as came off the track in 85, untouched. So i bought that and after a total strip and rebuild am making music again!

Amongst others Dave Bexley ex Hadleigh Custom raced a CBX powered outfit, always sounded superb but seemed to have little extra advantage apart from the sound!

Dave Bexley and i used to swap ideas, trying to keep those big motors in one piece took a lot of doing. He was a nice bloke and very helpful. The big advantage of the Honda was it was a super quick starter with loads of torque, it was very rare we didn`t lead into the first corner, wherever we were on the grid.

Yes, it was a Baker F1 made road legal. My mate bought the rolling chassis from Geoff, and put his own engine in,but after a couple of years riding the camchain snapped! After 24 new valves and an expensive engine rebuild the outfit and engine were left in his garage for more than 3 years. Last year he sent all the bits down to me from Edinburgh and i put it all back together for him and got it MOT`d. So its back up in Scotland whizzing round the highlands!!
