The first team will be arriving next weekend, and I hope they will manage a few more trips before practice starts in May. There is a group of experienced drivers and passengers here who are happy to spend time with prospective newcomers and help them have a safe, fast first TT. I also have space available in my house and others, where visitors are welcome to stay. Usually there is a vehicle available too, and that helps keep down costs as you can come across on a cheap flight or as a foot passenger on the boat. Get in touch if you're thinking about doing the TT... at least you can get a better idea if this is what you want to do, and.... you can never do enough laps, so experienced teams are also very welcome to come and remind themselves of the lines.
The TT marker boards will be up a few more weeks (until after the Manx) and that is helpful, so if you can come soon... great... if not... just come when you can.
Dean Banks did... and he got best newcomer in 2009. Matt Dix did and he got best newcomer in 2010... who will be Helen's hero in 2011??

They seem to have changed it. I've lost track of their method, but Jason got an award for best mewcomer passenger, although that might have been the marshal's award. Matt was awarded best driver, although still waiting for the plaque.
