last bike i remember Derek riding was a 500cc Manx sitter in the mid sixties,it was dark green with a yellow flash of lightning on the side of the front fairing, very distinctive!,his last passenger rode with me in 68 Micheal Crasswell was his name.I wonder where he is now ? I think it was Derek who made the the first twin disc 16"front wheel with the disc's bolted or riveted to the wheel rims

I remember racing against Derek at Newmarket Club meetings in the mid 70's him being on a 16inch sitter with an A65 BSA fitted. Always fair and difficult to beat, a real character.

That would be Whitewebbs Transport Museum, an old water pumping station in Whitewebbs Lane then.

Why you say that Bob? Is that the only one? I've been past Whitewebbs hundreds of times but never stopped.
It's just after/before Crews Hill

That's the one Steve, prolly only open weekends as it is run by volunteers, same lot as run the annual huge transport show and autojumble near the Halfway Hpuse pub. Stop and have a look for opening times next time you're that way. AFAIK that is the only one in the Enfield area.

Have done a couple of shows at the museum. We went to the big fest on the playing fields the year before we moved, Animal had an autojumble stall flogging secondhand Rolls Royce hub caps and wheel trims, thought it imprudent to enquire as to their provenance
