For ages now, we've not allowed replies in classifieds

We avoided them for ages to stop people bumping their ads to the top or keeping them on longer than they should be.
It doesn't seem to have been abused too much so far since we allowed them again (so far!)

What do we think? Replies or no replies?

looking at the replies on there it is a good thing because all of a sudden you can see some history of the outfit being sold

Great idea, just so long as we don't have people trying to publicly put people off a particular item or seller (which I'm sure we wont in a well moderated, mature forum like this).

just out of interest is it possible to have replies but the adverts stay in the chronological order of the date that the original advert was posted - that way it doesn't matter if there has been a whole parliamentary debate on a particular item it will stay in its rightful position, and all genuinely new adverts will automatically be placed top of the list?

That's the trouble Kelly I don't think there is, or if there is I can't see a way of doing it (looked under rocks and everywhere)
