The Schwarzel crash was impressive but boy was Streur lucky to still be walking after his off.
It had just crossed my mind how low the fairings were on the driver side of the early LCRs, presumably to assist the driver to get aboard after a push start.

You can see why Jock had to go long bike the following season. He was riding the wheels off his conventional and still couldnt stay in front. I can clearly remember him on the short Windle and it wasnt slow in a straight line. Smashing footage though, of the origional Assen. :D :D

That run from the startline to the first proper right hander shows how big the circuit was. When I first went there, 95 I think (?) we used the shorter one. The whole place looked a lot more road than circuit ba

The one down the ditch (Egbert?) looked like he was lucky enough to go in a lot slower than Webbo and Hewitt (?) did when they went in.

Starting to doubt myself on all sorts of stuff now, what is happening to me?!
