Devils Elbow, Mallory Park 64, 65

I am trying to locate any photos or the MCN article when a certain sidecar went through the elbow without a driver just the passenger steering the outfit Circa 1964 / 65 anyone help ?

l have the picture and the newspaper cutting , it was sent to me by Stephens dad when he told me he was going to be a passenger/ and the driver was George Bonney April the 25th.and the passenger was Pete Mcdougal.1965

Hi Peter I may be wrong as I am quite often but I think this could well have been Fred Brindley this happened to him. I remember some weeks later at Cadwell he had some nasty scrapes and cuts on his back from that off but I think that was 66.

your spot on,thats the pic Mac's looking for & all the Komnik team want to see it as well . We've all re lived it many times over a bevvy or three but this is the chance to see it in black & white ( I assume )

Fred Brindley turned his outfit over at a very wet Mallory park in 1965.
He still managed to finish third in the invitation race upside down.

I have a photo of Steve & Jim Williamson from the meeting Fred and Dave Saville crossed the finish upside down.
It was from MCI, JW was pulling his goggles down the caption said " cant se a thing " Steve & Jim finished 4th i think Fred & Dave was credited with 3rd.
Its dated May 22 1966
