Heysham Head

Sometime in the early 1980s (maybe 1980 - 83), I remember waiting for the Manx Line ferry at Heysham, all set to go over to the TT as a spectator. Whilst we were waiting to board, I seem to recall some motorcycle racing taking place about half a mile away on the headland. I had completely forgotten about this until the other day, when something jogged my memory. I have done a Google search and have come up with the Heysham Head Kart track...........but for the life of me I can find no mention of bikes racing there. My missus confirmed that there were definitely bikes racing that day (and I ain't arguing with her!).
Anyone got any info?

They did have at least one bike meeting at Heysham Martin . Les Trotter on his Crooks Suzuki featured well, or is my mind playing tricks

.

Twas a Kart track before the likes of 3 Sisters grabbed all the headlines......

Lots of late 70's/80's porn stars also used to race Karts as a day job judging by the hair styles.

Thanks Fritz.
I'd already found out about the kart racing ( the wonders if t'internet

), but could not find
any information about the motorcycle meetings. Seems like they've slipped through the mist of time.
