Sidecar floor covering

My passenger doesn't want the hard floor I've created for him. I don't really want to cover in foam and vinyl as it always gets destroyed instantly.
So what is the best material to use?

Simon:
I did ours with camping mat and cloth-backed vinyl. It's lasted 3 seasons and still looks OK.
I think I've still got some of the vinyl left, let me know what size you need. If I've got the right size, you can have it.

There is a foam rubber about 10mm thick I thinks it's known as 'Elephant hide' Computer mouse mats are made from it. If you find some get me some too.

I'm only leg pulling mate, I used to get stick all the time when I was a passenger.
I wonder if it's possible to get a giant gel pad like the covers you get for push bike saddles, just a thought!!!

Use a camping sleeping roll for the foam and good quality cloth back vinyl. the trick is to stick down the foam and then the vinyl, Only redone mine once in ten years on th Ireson.

Kface asked and received a new platform last season and for this season he will have new bodywork all to reduce the excuses available for his mr fumbles performances. When a bit on the side complains about their lot mention taking up side car motocross . If they asked for a water bed on the platform they would only burst it.

What about some softer boots for the passenger to lessen the damage
they may also give him more grip and an easier ride.
