I've just seen on another thread that all of the classics will have to have oil containment fitted to run at Croft. I know we're never had to do this before.

Can you confirm what is required?

Simon, If we run at any of the meetings organised by the North East club we need oil containment, as per F2 regs. Not a bad thing in my opinion. Interestingly though I think your bike runs a dry sump so you might not. I would check with the club.

Eddy, I asked Eddy Nelson about the oil containment issue and he said it would be needed. At least under the engine, so thats what we need, dry or wet sump. Its a good thing that sidecars do their bit with oil containment, let the solos drop the oil. Quite a few F1/F2 outfits run dry sump but all have the same oil containment stipulations.

Apologies in the delay in replying! An oil catch tray IS required at Croft. However, it does not need to be per the ACU regulations, just a sided catch tray under the engine itself and ideally fitted with some oil absorbent matting.

Just like to also say how welcome we were made at Croft. Great to see the respect given to us by the modern outfits when passing us.
Thanks to Ben for settimg it up, it's just a pity more of you didn't make it. Get behind the lad he's getting us opportunities to race at circuits not normally used by classic's.All the same it was a great weekend with Ben & Simon.

You've already been disqualified due to ineligible underpants. Only 70's 'Y' fronts allowed.

Poor excuse there Buddha, you've had since Oct!

If there hadnt been so much to do to it it may have been finished.
