All the usual hangers-on with a few new ones thrown in I would have thought Helen.........just the the usual annual family gathering

The English's are coming, havent been since 1970. has it changed much? so Stephen will have to behave this time ,

It has changed immeasurably! You will find it almost unrecognisable. So many empty hotels were knocked down and replaced with tawdry flats. The Grandstand, of course was rebuilt in 1982, and would be improved by demolition!
The Island itself, however, is just as beautiful.

I'll be there as usual and will endeavour to fit a few sessions of marshalling between helping Nigel and Doug get the outfit race fit

Me and Ken Andrews sr should be there to watch. Along with my fiancé ic she's well enough. Been 22for years since I was last there.

Will be coming over for first time on for Friday practice and Saturday races,bringing kids dont know whos more excited.Any suggestions for a place to pitch tent?.

Sorry to be pedantic but I thought the 'new' grandstand was built in 85/86.

You're probably right, GK... I'm hopeless on dates! It still needs knocking down and rebuilding! When they built it, they reckoned the TT would be finished in 5 years... it had no toilets, only one, very steep concrete stairway, and the concrete is not good, so water doesn't seep into it, it pours. The place is a slum! None of the adjacent buildings had toilets either... Crap design? LOL!
