This is a racing sidecar chassis that is intended for road racing on closed circuits such as Mallory Park, Donnington, Cadwell , and is not suitable for road use.
The chassis is constructed of tubular T45 steel with bronze and TIG welds.
The rear swinging arm is of single sided construction with elliptical chain adjusters with a drilled rear 8” disc.
The sidecar wheel hub has a fitted 8” cast iron disc with Lockheed brake calliper and racing brake pads.
The front has a double Lockheed floating calliper braking system using two 11” cast iron discs, fitted with Lockheed AP racing brake pads. It also has a separate Lockheed calliper for the back-up safety brake system with a brake lever and reservoir on the right hand handlebar.
The chassis comprises of the following:
- • 15 litre aluminium fuel tank with Explosafe packing
• Wheels Slick Tyres- o Front Shelbourne wheel with fitted cast iron discs and Avon slick tyre
o Rear Shelbourne wheel with Avon slick tyre
o Sidecar Shelbourne wheel with Avon slick tyre
- o Front Shelbourne wheel with fitted cast iron discs and Avon wet weather tyre
o Rear Shelbourne wheel with Avon wet weather tyre
o Sidecar Shelbourne wheel with Avon wet weather tyre
• Glass fibre fairing, with camloc fittings
• Glass fibre wheel arch, with camloc fittings
• Full passenger platform with handholds
• Aluminium radiator with pipes, pressurised header tank and overflow tank
• Aluminium under tray
• Oil capture under tray
• Full braking system with adjustable bias braking for front, rear and sidecar- o Currently drained of fluid – advise checking system seals

The chassis is also supplied with its alignment jig.
This chassis handles very well especially on left hand corners allowing the passenger to easily “fly” the sidecar wheel as required and is very stable under heavy braking.
