Still coming 22/23 february?

This will not be an officially run and funded newcomers weekend. However, anyone who wants to come and get in a few laps and discuss what works and what doesn't with others more (or less) experienced than themselves can come (as you can any weekend, by the way). If any newcomers want to come, please contact Sophie at the TT Team and she will be able to tell you more about their newcomers requirements, payment etc. (
sophie.lowney@gov.im). If enough people are coming any weekend (and particularly that one) I can arrange for us to have a bit of a night out, with local racing people, at the Manor. I can always offer local or visiting experienced drivers and passengers to go round with you for laps. Weekends are best, as local guys will be working their socks off in the week (and most of the weekend!) to pay for the racing. Please let me know if you're coming so I can help with anything the TT Team don't do, or just so I can catch up with you and have a natter!

Just to clarify, in reply to a couple of messages I've had.. I haven't fallen out with the TT Team. It just seems like it's time to let them do it their way, and I'll help in any way I can. Get in touch if you are a newcomer... you will still have to show you have done the familiarisation.

Who else is coming... it seems there are a few so we might still be able to do some of the usual social things like the night at the Manor and lunch at the Ginger. Apart from fun, these do provide a chance for people to talk to others who they may not already know and learn (or teach!). There will be a few newcomers... about 4, I think at last count, and several non-newcomers, who could be drafted in as mentors..please let me know if you are coming!
