Bit of an Apology

I was away last week on the South Coast and just by luck got a signal on the mobile to enable me to listen to the Sidecar Championship Race.
I heard if get red flagged and Roy Moore at Cross Four Ways said 'It is ok, they are up on their feet' Figuring any crash you walk away from is a good crash I went on to Twitter and said something to the effect of 'Which muppet crashed at Cross Four Ways?....You would never catch me doing anything that daft' (Referring to my own off at Church Bends with Alan Warner a few years ago).
I have since learned to was Darren and Lenny and that they were both hurt, although I understand not too badly. Now while no one has picked me up for this comment, I do feel the need to appologise for it, had I known that they were hurt I would never had made such a comment until I knew the facts.
So if you did read it and think 'Fitz you miserable tw*t', it really was not meant in a bad way, I thought there would be more blushes and damaged bodywork than injury to two fellow racers.
I have also learned from Dave Quirk that some pebble-dash is required to repair the house they hit.
As a pennence for my inconsiderate comment I will be making as donation to the Helicopter Fund.
Cheers.
