Drive chain change frequency?

Hi,
This is possibly a daft question, but how often does everyone put on a new drive chain? I'm assuming a new one for the start of the season but I don't know if that's overkill.
Cheers,
Gavin.

It tends to be at the start of the new season, I can confirm that you chain was new for the 2014 season, so it's due to be changed.
Hope this info helps

Hello Gavin.
If you click on to my link on the site you will see my post about chains.
Also a very important point, if you fit a new chain also fit new sprockets.
Worn sprockets will damage a new chain, as will worn chain damage new sprockets.
Kind regards. BJ.

This season will be my chain's third.
I check it every race, keep i lubed and I carry a spare. There is no sign of it needing replacing any time son.
