Never raced in Europe, where is good?

Well the exchange rate isn't so bad and unusualy we have a half decent, reliable van (gawd, why did I say that) so wondered about biting the bullet and doing a classic/vintage meeting on the continent so that we talk loudly about the flat out apexing of foreign sounding corners in the pub when we get back.
Don't want to travel to the ends of the earth but where would anyone recommend or suggest avoiding? Circuits, Road circuits, Hillclimbs, anything considered, we have no knowledge at all.
Our outfit is more vintage than classic and we are not very well off so may be best avoiding continental versions of the Goodwood Festival of Greed or that thing at Spa which we have heard is expensive and probably too far anyway.
Thanks for reading, Jon and Sue, Lincoln. 07825 304200

For example in Holland on the 20th of June we have the re-run of the ZZ-races, which were originally organized in 1946 + 1947.
On closed public roads, the track is around 6km's long, which is near to 3.75 miles.
For more info see www.zzraces.nl
If you need translation let me know.

Thanks for the information John, sounds great, I'll look into it. Would our bike be eligible, being certified as a 1972 (it is turning out to be quite a bit older) Jon

Yes, 31-12-1972 is the limit. And I am sure the Greenwood Triumph dates from the sixties.

Yes, Chimay and Gedinne are fantastic event of course!

The ZZ-races I mentioned are run under the HMV road regularity banner, which still means you can try to go as fast as you can! ;-)

Just do everything that is happening in Belgium and if you have leftover cash and need for speed check out the Dutch events, sorted!
