"R" Clip Suppliers ?

As the title - anyone know where to source some "decent" R clips ?
The only ones I can find at the moment - have the "long" leg chopped short - they are a bear to fit through a tube - (I have a load of new ones here that I bought a while ago if anyone needs any)
A picture might help - it's the bottom one in the picture I want...
Many Thanks...

Thanks Ian - not sure where you've found those - I spent quite a long time looking on ebay - thought I'd found some - picture was showing what I wanted - but sent a message to confirm what they are before ordering (been down that road with the last lot - still have them)
This is part of the reply:
"The ones we have are probably much the same as the ones you have there think the problem is they vary greatly from supplier and the batches they get it to them sorry."
A lot of the sellers are showing the long clip - but selling whatever they have...
The last lot of "good" clips I got from a tractor place - unfortunately the company have now gone...
Is it just me ? - or does anyone else find the short leg clips are no good for the use we put them to ? (frequent removal / replacement)

Bloody 'ell Steve

- not heard of the one at Leaton - mind you - I don't usually know about anything around our area - as for Bearing man - used to find them quite helpful before they moved to where they are now (by the crossing ?) - but now - you'd need a second mortgage to go in there (unless they've changed at all)
Thanks for the "heads up" about Europa - looks like they may be worth a look - if not for the R clips - then maybe some other fasteners.

Hi Gordon, have you tried Charlies stores by Welshpool. I buy them for a well known sidecar builder from there.

Yeah they are expensive but seem to keep a lot of stuff in. Yes they are still by the rail crossing by the Honda center

I thought the same - but unfortunately - they are the seller I sent the message to - as in the post above - picture doesn't match what you might get...
I'd forgotten charlie's - we of course now have one in england - although not sure they keep the same range in stock...I'll pop in to Shrewsbury shop when I'm next in town...

If you grind a point on the clip they are easy to fit

Gordon , on your drawings neither R clip is engaged. Why would you not just push the short leg clip in place ?

Geoff - I just find the long leg one a lot easier to fit - with the pin engaged on both sides of the tube - it's easier to push them through against the spring tension - with the other type - you have to be aiming them in the right direction & working against the tension at the same time...not that it matters too much - just seems all the "old" clips I have are the long ones - but don't seem able to get them anymore...

I did try Charlie's in Shrewsbury at the weekend - no good - they only keep the "Selection box" - and those are the wrong type - already have one of those...
It seems the Welsh people understand my quest - had a phone call this morning from a fine Welsh gentleman - who understood what I was looking for & thinks he can help - thanks Kew - much appreciated...
