Looking for a bit of advice from those that know...
I have a box of valve shims - I'm thinking of putting on ebay (I did work on diesels sometimes - years ago) 34 shims in total @ 245 - 300 sizes - would have been for Yamaha - but I've no idea if the other makes will have used the same diameter shims...(I'm guessing they should be of interest to more people if they are usable on other makes) - anyone know ?
PS - also have the Yamaha (01245) shim tool...

I took the shell off my racing snail thinking it would make him faster.
It just made him more sluggish.

Hi Gordon, there are two types of Yamaha valve shim, the large over bucket type, and the small under bucket type.
Best to state which they are if you put them on e-bay.

I'd forgotten I even had those shims - been hidden from view for many years to avoid any unpleasant memories - if I could drill them out I'd use them as penny washers....also have all the Yamaha special tools for diesel stuff up until early 80's - of course - not needed on proper engines...
Howard - thanks for that - I've not seen any of the later stuff for a long time....
