The forum has loads of categories that you don't see as a new member, check out usergroups for more categories and some you can read and do some bits but not all til you join. Have a look. It's a throwback from pre facebook days and we (well I do) like it this way.
The Place used to be a lot busier and without groups it was too much for us moderators to keep up with.
We might open it all up but some parts of the forum are really great and if you're new, you're not getting to see them yet, sorry
