Hi,
Are the engine internals interchangeable between k6/k7 and k8/k9?
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply Geoff.
What about putting k7 internals in some k8 casings, and using a k7 head. Possible?
Thanks,
David

Re: GSXR 600 k6-k9
only difference in the casings is the size of the breather holes inbetween the cylinders, K8 ones are around 2mm bigger to "supposedly help the engine breather better"
as Geoff said the pistons and head are different as they changed the valve angles, cams are a different profile and I think can be interchangeable but require re-shimming ( I have been told the k7 cams are better as they have more lift but never tried them as it is against the British championship rules to interchange parts)
bit of info for you so you know what you can look for if you need parts
cheers
