Where can I get the adapter to fit a separate oil cooler? Does it go between the oil filter and engine?
Thanks

Yes between the oil filter n engine. Mocal do a billet alloy one for Japanese cars ( it's not the cheap cast one). It has a correct oring diameter. Can forward you pictures if you send me your email address. Cheers Dixie

Steve,
I've just fitted a cooler to my bike. I got a cheap sandwich plate off ebay £25 or so. Its the same kind Gary Bran and Conrad use. it fits perfectly and is good quality. I've put some thread lock on the threaded connectors and also lockwired them. All easy enough. This one goes between the engine and the doughnut cooler.
now this is what I've learned while doing it. The cheap fittings and hose are not worth buying. The hose will cut your hands to shreds when you make the pipes. the fittings then won't tighten properly to be oil tight. A total waste of money. The cheap coolers are OK but the alloy is very soft so this one of mine has ridges in where the cheap fittings have cut into the end.
So, I've now bought goodridge hose and fittings which are so much better. I've also got a mocal cooler which again is so much better quality.
I was new to all this so had no idea what size was what. I've ended up with JIC/AN -8 lines and fittings.
Hope that helps.
cheers.
john
