Hello Steve,
My name is Iris and I am a film line producer from Hong Kong. I found your website and forum. It is a very wonderful place and I've learnt a lot about sidecar. Thank you
I am now producing an action comedy about young secret agents called "The Rookies", it's kind of like "Johnny English" and "Spy", but it is a Chinese young version. The film will be released in 2018 in China.
My director, Alan Yuen (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0950701/) likes sidecar very much and he really wants to have a sidecar racing scene in his film. The scene is about two bad guys having a under table weapon trade at a sidecar tournament and one of them (with his retinue) takes a sidecar and run away, two agents just chase him with another sidecar. My director is thinking to have them chasing in the city or in the country, is it possible for the sidecar to run out of the ring??
We will go to shoot in Budapest from Sept to Dec this year. This sidecar scene will take two weeks to rehearsal & shoot. We want to do it in late Sept or early Oct in Budapest.
We are now looking for at least two teams with two sidecars to help us for the shoot. My production designer will need to do alteration on the sidecars. We can buy used sidecars also if needed. We are thinking to look for some newcomers or non professional racers so they will not be too busy with races and can have more time to help us.
I have asked my local crew (Hungarian) to help me organizing this scene, but obviously they are also not in the field and they have to start from zero.
I found your website and read the forum. There are full of brotherhood and friendship, lots of positive energy, no haters. I like it very much and decide to write you
Would you please help us or introduce people or teams to us? Please feel free to ask if you need further information.
Nice to meet you via email Steve. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you very much.
Best Regards,
Iris Au Yeung
