sidecars in SA

In years past when sidecar racing took place at Kyalami in South Africa, can any members who raced there remember if they came across a South African team. I have searched media coverage of past races but found nothing. I would love to see it revived now the circuit has been upgraded and to find an SA team would be a start.

Garth Ridell, Fred Williams. Ridell had a tin Windle TZ 750, Williams a GT750

A while ago Trevor Ireson was showing me his old order/receipt book,pointed to an order for two outfits and said that they had gone to South Africa. So I assume there must have been something happening there.

He did. I've seen the trophy he won out there.
