"Taxi Rides" - Sidecar Bonanza (Cadwell Park)
Posted: Wed Jun 28, 2017 1:17 pm
The Auto 66 Club are once again running the hugely popular end of season "Sidecar Bash" at Cadwell Park, this is over the weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October.
A request which has been made numerous times is that of "Taxi Rides" to raise money for charity, and allow members of the public a chance to "passenger" outfits. The intention is to run them at lunchtime on at least one (or possibly both) day(s) at this meeting.
This may seem a rather premature post. However, the ACU have asked that the club submit a list of sidecar drivers to be approved beforehand - this is required in the next week. It has been requested that nominated drivers hold a national competition licence, and are signed on competitors in the meeting.
Any drivers who would be willing to be considered to take the public on their machine should contact me via p.m. on here - I will pass your details on to Charlie at the Auto 66 Club who will then forward a list to the ACU for approval. (Drivers name, licence number and category of machine will be required).
I appreciate this is very early - some competitors will be unsure whether they can commit 100% to racing at this event at this stage of the season. However, by registering your interest, there is no obligation at this stage to enter the meeting.
Final details of the Taxi Rides will be made much closer to the event - those wishing to take participate as a passenger will be informed of the how to register etc in September on this forum. No further information is available at this time.
Thanks
