hello to you all my name is alan

i run a group called honda heritage embracing all things honda pre 1980 and have invited mick mcginley with his 1969 honda s800 to show his outfit at the event PISTONS & PROPS at sywell airfield the 22nd & 23rd september

i have arrange with the airfield organising the sprint/display runs on the runway for mike to run his outfit over the weekend and have been ask by the event organiser if i can get 11 outfits to run over the weekend with mike !!! i have already got two entries so there is space for another 9 outfits so your website is my first port of call with recommendation from mike

a mixture of old and newer machines would be interesting

this event is free ,up to six high speed runs per day ,no noise restrictions & camping
im happy to organize all the paper work and entries the finer details can be worked out as we go along the most important thing is to get definate entries asap

Have contacted Alan to let him know I will be there. ANY TYPE OF SIDECAR WELCOME. Maybe an opportunities for 'Taxi-Rides (don't know... have to talk to Alan)

I have in the past done a good few similar events (Brooklands/Santa Pod to name a few) and they have always been enjoyable weekends with great attendance from public.

Use the opportunity to meet the public and explain sidecars, (you never know WHO you might be talking to / who might want to help you) and also a great weekend to look at and watch other motorsport stuff!

A great way to spend a weekend with your sidecar without any pressure of competition!!

And also goes down well with any sponsors you have to say you there and Get them tickets to a fun day out

COME ON LETS GETALL SIDECARS INVOLVED IN A GOOD PUBLIC DISPLAY/DAY OUT.

my preference is a phone call initially as i can explain thing and answer question a lot better rather than ping ponging numerous emails
once pm.s are exchange i am available for phone calls pretty much at anytime day/evening
i will require by email your details and a brief write up on yourself and outfit for commentary purposes
im hoping then to have all the entry forms by the beginning of may which i will deal with for you all

a good point by yangi with regards "taxi" service i personally like the idea of this and it is something i can put to the organizer as there may be a ticket cost for extra entries as at present entries for this event are free to us
may i suggest that when you email me your details you put on your details "driver" 1st" passenger " reserve 1,2,3 etc


the event is for racing outfits a various display of old and new will make it more interesting

this is not a race meeting but the organizers encourage high speed spirted runs my take is this is an adrenalin fueled event

there will be a briefing and a disclaimer to sign for all entrants

i have 4 comfirmed entries so room for another 8

i will find some footage of the event and ask steve to paste them up as i dont know how to do this ,just to give you the flavour of the event

this would be A brilliant event for all of us who do not race anymore but moan that we have nowhere to ride as we hope this could lead to other events come on pete get the Harley out

Bluddy Hell Mick amongst your many talents didn't know you were a mind reader as well, just trying to finish the latest Harley as after 2 hip joints most important thing is comfort, I`ll contact your man, hope you are keeping well.

My old passenger has a BM outfit so I`ve forwarded on his details as well,you ought to come to Chimay with the rest of us who believe in getting old disgracefully,

Went to this last year as a spectator and it was a really good event. Lots of different things thundering up the course, really good air display. lots of static club displays for classic cars/bikes and competition machines. Enjoy!
