Unread post by TonyW »

Was away from sidecars for a number of years, when or what year did Trevor Ireson stop bronze/braze welding frames ? it's just to help being able to date one if possible. Many thanks

Not sure of the exact date, but Dick Hawes took delivery of a new F2 chassis in 1992, I prepared the bike for the 1993 season.
It finished 4th in both races at the TT that year, I think that it was one of the first Trevor built using a single sided swinging arm.
The complete chassis was TIG weld construction.
Hope this helps.
