Identification help please!
There's a discussion on TT website where we're trying to identify who's on some old slides. A series of sidecar shots have been posted and look to be late 60s - early 70s. Any help with ID would be much appreciated. A link to the thread is below:

Re: Identification help please!
Hi Mike,
pics 1&2 defo Mallory hairpin.
"Sticky" in his reply say's Peter Sheridan & Phil Smith in pic 4, he means Pat Sheridan. Also I dont think Pat's passenger was killed in the 1971 sidecar accident at Oulton Park,
it was Gary Bryan's RGB, passenger Pete Pritchard who was killed.

Re: Identification help please!
Hi Ian, unfortunately Phil Smith lost his life along with Pat Sheridan and Peter Pritchard in the Oulton Park accident in 1971. It was a dreadful day, we were held for a very long time on track, as the officials tried to identify who the casualties were. It was as a result of this accident that the rule about having to wear an identity disc came about.
The no 16 bike at Mallory Park hairpin is Bill and Mike Crook on the Unity BSA (Bill was also in the tragic race at Oulton)
The no 25 bike at IOM TT is Eric Parkinson on the 500cc Cresent
The no 3 bike at Mallory Park Hairpin may be Dave Edgington

Re: Identification help please!
Thanks for the help so far. Do we know if the white BSA is Sheridan & Smith? (I thought it was Pat Sheridan but he's wrongly named in the TT database)

Re: Identification help please!
Hi mike, I dont think it is the "Kirby" BSA of Pat Sheridans, but I could be wrong????
The Kirby BSA was all white with a red stripe.
Howard (lang) should be able to help on that or RP on here who owns the bike.

Re: Identification help please!
HI Ian, I think it was Terry Vinecome and John Flaxman who rode the BSA for Tom Kirby. Pat Sheridan rode for Les Mason, under the "Devimead" name.
The white bike no 47 is G Bye if that is the 1971 TT sidecar 750 race, Pat Sheridan was no 40 that year.

Evening all
Got some more sidecar mysteries from TT Website:
http://www.ttwebsite.com/forums/showthr ... ?tid=27505
One of the posters (and me) think the first pic is Trevor Ireson. I was wondering about Terry Vinicombe for pic 2 but his number looks a bit on the high side. Pic 3 looks like Darley Moor but no idea who it is. Pic 4 has been identified as Dick Greasley & Cliff Holland at Mallory
Thanks!

Re: Identification help please!
I could be wrong as I was very young then, But the number 25 bike looks like John Barker, on either the Triumph or BSA 500, in one of my dads chassis (probably the first one he built)
