Preview from Barry to go on the front tonight.

Defending Champions lead the charge to Massingberd Mundy Cadwell Revival with World Champions past and present.

The much publicised Cadwell Sidecar Revival is here. After many months of planning, negotiation and sleepless nights, this festival of sidecar racing at the historic Cadwell Park circuit has arrived.
This coming weekend, we will be celebrating seventy years of world championship sidecar racing, forty years of LCR sidecar construction, and the entire concept of the sport of sidecar racing.
Central to the programme will be three races for the Molson Group Championship competitors, who arrive here hot-foot from a hectic and eventful Brands Hatch, which saw Steve Kershaw and Stuart Clark emerge in the title lead on their Molson Group/Express Tyres Yamaha LCR.
They are chased by 2018 runners-up Todd Ellis and Chaz Richardson (Santander Salt Honda).

In addition there will be championship races for the FSRA “short” outfits, Camathias Cup classic outfits, and a goodly selection of period solo machinery including “GP Originals”. These two-stroke machines are evocative, and typical of the prototype bikes used throughout the sixties and seventies in Grand Prix racing.
To commemorate the history of the world championship itself, we have several former world champions present, and parading their magnificent two-stroke machinery from the period.
These include Steve Webster MBE, Rolf Biland, Steve Abbot and Darren Dixon.
From the modern day, Ben and Tom Birchall will not only celebrate their world title success, but will also have with them their multiple Isle of Man TT winning machine.

Forty years ago, a brilliant Swiss engineer and racing car driver developed a monocoque sidecar racing chassis which became the blueprint for the future. So successful was Louis Christen's LCR machine, that it has dominated sidecar racing over a period spanning four decades.
In recognition of that extraordinary success, we are also celebrating forty years of LCR, and welcome Louis Christen himself here to witness this recognition.

All our celebrities will be available to chat informally, and will interviewed on-stage by former Grand Prix racer, ex-BBC pundit and all-round good chap Steve Parrish, who will also be demonstrating a period TZ 750 Yamaha on track.
We also have the circuit commentary services of the legendary Fred Clarke, who reliably informs me his track record with the PA microphone goes back more than half a century. He is also likely to be one of Parrish's “victims” in the stage Q&A sessions. To witness this pair competing for “air-time” will be worth waiting for.
There is also hot food courtesy of our event sponsors Massingberd Mundy Lincoln Red Beef,
a live band and party marquee Saturday evening, and a one-hour TV show specially produced, to be shown later on Eurosport.

A very special, full colour souvenir programme has been produced for the event, and this in itself will become a collector's piece, and something to be cherished for years to come.
All roads lead to Cadwell Park this weekend for the greatest assembly of sidecar racers ever gathered at the Lincolnshire circuit. Make sure you join us for what will be an absolute extravaganza of three wheel activity, nostalgia, music, food and fun.
