The Club has been listening to views expressed by riders on our social media channels, with three circuits being the focus of particular attention: Silverstone, Oulton Park and Anglesey....
The Club likes to maintain the tradition of starting and finishing the season at at what we regard as our home circuit, Brands Indy - so we've kept that in place for 2020.
For the second round we will head to Silverstone on the International Circuit.
It's all been resurfaced for a second time and got good reports from MotoGP.
We've negotiated something special for the May bank holiday at Oulton Park. This bank holiday commemorates the 75th anniversary of VE Day. The bank holiday itself is on Friday 8th May. We will run a test day on Thursday 7th and then two full days of racing on Friday and Saturday.
We will have trips to Snetterton 300, Cadwell and Brands GP prior to a summer break when will again suspend racing during the school bank holiday period throughout August and then return to Donington in September.
We will then finish our 8-round season at Brands in October.
We expect all solo classes to run at every round.
Negotiations are still taking place regarding the successful Sidecar Revival meeting at Cadwell. It is hoped this will run for a third year in early August, but this is to be confirmed.
With the special Oulton round in May the Board felt that adding Anglesey to the schedule would be one more long trip too far. However, as the May bank holiday configuration for 2020 is a one-off, consideration of Anglesey for 2021 is on the cards.
