It’s with a heavy, heavy heart that I pass on a message from my friend Dean Dickinson. Just before Christmas Dean went to his doctors with a bad cold, like a lot of blokes he had waited quite a long time before going. After blood tests and other things Dean was told the shocking news that he has a type of blood cancer. Although this is a very serious situation, there is treatment and so there is a lot of hope. Dean has a very close family and a tight knit group of friends around him who will continue to support him for as long as it takes. He will need to undergo a lot of treatment that will probably mean that he will be in and out of hospital for the next year or so. Dean, like a lot of us, is self-employed and so is now without an income, as we all know this brings even more stress. The racing will need to take a back seat so Dean will be selling all his racing equipment including a Shelbourne F2, a Baker F2, race truck and lots more. I will be listing all this soon, if you’re interested in anything please call me here or on 07730784975. Please don’t contact Dean at the moment as he is still processing the news himself and is very busy running back and forth to different hospitals etc. :(
