I am trying to trace an outfit built by Gordon Platt in 1983.
After Gordon was lost at Cadwell in 86 it was sold to Colin Betts,
Sean Heggarty Snr then Sean Heggarty Jnr.
I have been in touch with Sean jnr
But he can not remember who he sold it on to.
It was a heavy outfit, to use Gordons own words
it was built like a brick shit
house so it would last .
The TZ 750 motor was replaced
and the trumpets on the fairing were cut off.
No 14 here at Cadwell is the outfit in question.
Thanks in advance Pete Wilson.
PS. if anyone has photos of Gordon and my self
I would also appreciate those also.

I dont know Paul is Graham Bertram on this site, or do you have his contact details.
Thanks for your interest in my search as it is Gordons family who really want to find it.

Re: Gordon Platt Outfit
RE: Gordon Platt Outfit, I can throw a bit more light on this outfit, Yes Colin Betts did buy it off Gordons Dad after his death and went on to use it one season with Dave Dunning as Passenger he then took out the TZ and sold the engine and a spare to Vick Jefford who then went on to do the British championship rounds the following year. Colin then put a Yam FZR1000 in and then carried on for another year in clubs, Thats when Shaun hegetty Snr bought it for his two lads to get started. Hope that helps lads.

Re: Gordon Platt Outfit
I wish you well in your quest, I remember regularly racing against Gordon at Cadwell (Formula 5?), chasing him made me up my game a lot.
