Cheers for the help, was going to move it to here on Friday, but got rather tied up at work and forgot (Steve told me too :d ).
Any help or contacts gratefully received by my friend. He has decided to try and get the steed back on the road if its worth it. Having spent 2 years doing up an old Norton myself, I sort of know what hes going to go through.
