I emailed Louis a few years back about it and he said it was a one off and there were no drawings available for it ,Will try and find message

Howard, hopefully a considered opinion and not a seed of doubt planted to cause my project to fail before it starts? I am not really au fait with the classic scene, however am I correct in believing that replica Norton, Matchless and BSA engines which look nothing like their original spec inside or ...

Ian Kirk from up Aberdeen way built one around 1982, It was a work of art
Tried to find out about it but drew a blank. Maybe Alistar Lewis Knows what hapened to it

Its a known fact that the stigma that sidecars dumped oil was years ago when the Classics of Today were the culprits.
ALL other classes of outfits have to have catchment trays so there is no reason why a current Classic outfit should not have to be fitted with them also

If I'm not mistaken, the wheels are 10" & are the same as were fitted to the 4 front wheel steered F1 Tyrell racing car, more innovation for Rolf Biland borrowed from Ken Tyrell :notworthy:

Dont agree with you Bill,
Too many people with your views up high have stopped progress with sidecars.
If there had been more inovation allowed Im sure the car guys would have been involved and things wouldnt be in the state they are nowadays and im sure there would have been some wonderful ...

Anybody know how many of these chasis were actually built, I remember old melville club t shirts and stickers etc
in the late 80s had a picture of a wedge shaped outfit, was that a Renwick? were there any raced up here in Scotland

Absolutely, Simon I agree with you, you don't want to change the rules. You've changed or bent them enough to suit yourselves with your conventional outfits to get the best out of them. What, with 13" wheels ...

Just spent 10 mins googleing s800s i never even knew they existed. (never seen one up here in the frozen North) Funny how they look a bit like an MG though, revvy little bugger of an engine mind. :lol:
