Hi RP, I have as you know aired my views on (our forum)
As you know if something needs to be said I will say it. Too many who will just sit and read/listen but not have the balls to post or reply but feel the same.
I had, & Bludge had a telephone call during this week from one of the CRMC committee. This person speaks a lot of sense and had not known various issues during this season. The club has to start listening to it's members.
What has happened this season to Bludge and myself while racing at CRMC meetings we have both told the committee face to face, via telephone and via forum.
I personally have no problem at all saying publically why my loyalty for the club is sadly no longer. Black is Black as far as I am concerned.
I feel it is a stupid situation that the club had plenty of time (weeks and weeks) to address but didn't bother.
As in previous public viewable forums Bludge and I were doing our utmost certainly during 2006 season to promote the club/big it up/ gather more sidecar teams etc
The majority know why we did not continue to race with the CRMC during this season.
We will race with the club in the future (if they are happy to accept our entry) but we are NOT going to be loyal to a full championship as we have done previously. that part of it has fallen on it's nose! It's what suits us now from now on, take it or leave it attitued

Sadly illi the problem is that so few outfits compete that their views / thoughts are pretty much immaterial. The solos seem to enjoy the big circuits and as they bring in the most money theirs is the voices heard

Interesting to read the why`s and wherefores of classic sidecars,(lack of) as I have said some time ago we`ve not raced over here for years as said due to large cost for little racing time so our allegiance goes to the continent where we are treated like people who are giving the public the enjoyment they want, and racing on proper road circuits,I dont think times have changed much, when I started racing in 63 I did a couple of seasons on home built rubbish, then bought a 350 Manx, guess what they did`nt like 350`s much then so we always got fitted in anywhere and our 2nd race was always the last of the day when everybody was going home, probably much like the cllassic chairs today, maybe we should organise ourselves into a register and approach some of the smaller clubs who would put on classic chairs if they could guarantee a grid of at least 12,people like,North Glos,Crewe and Nantwich, etc, most of them run a classic solo race so would like chairs as well and their entry costs are far more bearable,I am afraid the CRMC started well with good intentions but has moved from grass roots classic racing to an upmarket image, nothing wrong with that in principle but as we can see you are all up in arms about the lack of classic sidecars, other than the above you can always seek Nirvana and cross the channell, contrary to rumours they do actually like us,most speak better english than us,the wine is superb as is the food and the biggest bonus is that there is no interference from the Anti Christ Union...
