Yes Trips, It is a totally different class... F350 is the "original" cheap entry class designed so new comers could actually start/enter our sport. this was done by the likes of Gary Golder, Norman Hanks etc... The bikes are tubular convensional chassis with mainly the TZ350 twin as a powerplant.
There's another thread for later ,,, how the hell does a new comer get into the sport now? I think a new entry level class is needed now and quick too. Something along the lines of BOG STANDARD one make motor ie CB500 twin using everything even airbox stock. make the motor untouchable as regards tuning. Could even have a type approved silencer/restrictor to keep everyone on a level play field... chassis as per the old F350???? Would make a good competetive cheap sidecar class.
Post Classic /Forgotten era is the 1970/80's period bikes ie GS1000, TZ750 etc ..... Not up on their rulings but dont think they allow (long outfits?)... That will be one for Stu Mellor or Ianw....
It would just make sense that all three classes joined forces and raced together as far as I am concerned.
The classic AGM was an absolute "joke shop" last year. Bludge and I went but 100% wont bother this year... We put forward proposals via the correct channels, ie had to submit written proposals to Sec by a certain date etc, this we done but come the actual meeting and every time I stood up to put forward one of our "sidecar " proposals was told "could you sit down we will do that one later" LATER NEVER CAME ! ! They just didnt want to know...
Complete waste of mine and Bludges time, effort, diesel money etc would have been better off staying at home in a nice hot bath doing a few under water farts!
Oh, and then counting the bubbles!
