What a stunning looking outfit. The front caliper mounts look very similar to ours. Any idea where it is now?

Which is why Pip Harris was riding a Vincent sitter at the VMCC Festival of 1000 Bikes. He told me that he had new knees and couldn't bend his legs far enough for a kneeler. Mind you, he is in his eighties now - can't imagine us still doing it at that age

Doesn't look any more top heavy than Dad's NSU was. They were a long stroke motor and with the overhead rocker single cam arrangement quite a tall engine all told compared to a bike engine, but quite something compared to other 4 stroke car engines.

Lovely compact motor, a little tall but so neat. Looks more like a bike engine than a car engine.
Same engine but in a solo.

And the modern day version.

Correct Ian :d Maybe Mike Richards should be having a look at one of these instead of a BMW :d
And the car the engine came from.

Also we use to have holes drilled in the floor, so the rain went straight out. and they did handle brilliantly. one year we took the car and four kids and camping equipment to Lydden was it a tight squeeze. :d

An interesting site for NSU engines, this people bring an NSU up to 140 bhp, and sell all parts you need.
This is a German company, but the website it is also in English

I know nothing about NSU engines Ian ! but thats never stopped me before

Why didnt any body lay them down like an Imp ? You would need to make a scoop to direct the air through the block and move the oil pick up then it would make it small :)
