Unread post by jdutton »

HI, DOES ANY KNOW IF THERE IS ONE OF MY DADS SIDECAR OUTFITS STILL IN EXISTENCIE, HE RACED THE TT FROM 1969 TO 1979 AND HAD MANY DIFFERENT BIKES ,HIS LAST BIKE WAS DICK GREASLEY 1978 BIKE . HE SOLD IT END OF 1979 AFTER A CRACH AT SNETTERTON, IT WAS SMASHED AND THE FORKS WERE BENT. SOMEONE CAME AND TOOK IT AWAY FOR £800 , BUT WE DONT REMEMBER WHO. HE WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT IF ANYONE HAS ONE OF HIS OLD BIKES OR KNOWS ANYTHING OF THEM, THANKS JOLIAN DUTTON.

I passengered the ex Roger Dutton BMW in the late 70's. It was owned and raced by Allan Jorden. Chris Fenton helped Allan to restore the bike to its former glory and then passengered him for a while. They took the bike over to the 79 TT and Roger rode it in the parade. I know Allan moved to the island and I heard that the bike was sold to a collector (ie someone who hides treasures, so that no one else can see them)
