Who's going then :?: Any idea what you get for the entry fee :?: Regs say 3 x 6 lap races with practice Friday - is that all day Friday or will it be just 1 session during the day :?: Gotta way up wether to do the Croix thing or this (getting nagged by a few about not doing Donington :shock: )

Does anybody know about the practice timetable? As ive heard that it now appears that u have to practice on the Friday as there will only be a limited (solo)practice on the saturday. What if u cant get there till friday night? Dont remember seeing any thing in the regs saying about this.
Winning isn't everything....but wanting to win is.

Who's going? Everybody - to date I believe we have some 22 sidecar entries.

What do you get for your money? The opportunity to take part in what promises to be a fantastic weekend of CRMC racing and celebration of the Norton motorcycle. At one point they hope to have over 1,000 on the track at one time (that's Nortons not sidecars!).

CRMC will have the track on Friday between 9 am and 11 am and between 4 p.m and 6 p.m. for practice. Sidecars will have one session in the morning and one in the afternoon. These times are the only hard and fast practice times for the weekend.

The Donington Racing Club is sponsoring the sidecar class to the tune of £100 winner of P1, £100 winner of P2 and £100 winner of P3/P4. This is for Sunday's race I believe but I will check.

Great unless you have to work Friday.

Well good luck to everyone who has entered. Just please remember that some people are not enetering due to lack of funds. Not everyone owns a motorcycle shop or own's there own business and not everyone is currently employed.

I would love to race at Donnington, but cannot afford it, due to the cost in repairing our sidecar. We will be racing at Croix the same weekend- only because we have had our entry and ferry paid for by a sponsor.

If u had the choice of trying to find the money to enter Donnington (which i havnt got)or goto Croix for free,what would you do?

Croix apparently is only a parade rather than a race, so not quite the same. The CRMC, same as any race club, is only another business. I don´t agree with it but it´s how it is. If anyone still believes they´re not just in it for the money (not all of them but most) then maybe you could try bridge or lawn bowls.

Have to say I agree with Ben here, CRMC has to make its money, and its certainly cheaper overall than other clubs.
Never trust anything that doesnt stand up by itself!

What do you mean by that? Certainly as a member and competitior the only money involved is going one way i.e from me to them!

I totally agree the CRMC does have to make money.
Unlike alot of people who have commented , i have been involved with the CRMc for over 12 years.

What some people need to realise is that not all us ,get our entry fee's paid for us . If i had the money i would have entered Donnington , but i havnt. I will be going to Croix (yes it is only a parade-a fast parade) but my entry and ferry have been paid for.
Just remember me and my brother were one fo the sidecar teams who supported the CRMC when the numbers were very low. When i havnt been able to race ,i have always marshaled of helped out at the meetings.

I dont do bridge or bowls, i race sidecars when i can afford it.

I meant the majority of race clubs are in it for the money, they always know we´ll pay just so we can go racing. Something I wasn´t aware of, was some teams get their entries paid for. I`m also surprised to know that some of the field are unemployed, I´ve just jacked in my current job and if I can´t find something quickly, racing will have to go on hold.
All I`m saying is everyone should just chill out a bit and enjoy the racing.
