A lot of riders and passengers will know John as he has helped at lots of clubs either Marshalling ~ C of C ~ ACU Steward ~ or signing you on in the office,
Sadly, John passed away this morning, his health hadn't been good just lately, but he had a good weekend at Anglesey with DP as acu steward.
This is such sad news. I had the honour and privilege of knowing John for many years first when I was marshalling and later as a competitor. A truly warm and caring person who I will miss greatly. There are many great memories I have of John such as the time we were camping in France just before travelling to chimay to marshal at the Classic Racing. We went about setting up the tents and once done went to the loo upon where he telephoned his wife to advise her of his shock that there were no seats on the toilets!
Rest In Peace John

John certianly was a character and will be missed.
Have so many found memories of John.
Winning isn't everything....but wanting to win is.
John's funeral was yesterday with what can only be described as a huge turnout. The service was simple and the playing on the way out of a lap of Cadwell being described by Steve Parish was genius. A sad day but some great memories.
