Looks like the exhaust is a 2 into 1 on each pair of cylinders :?:

Konig's have been tried in the past with four separate pipes, and there was no advantage to be found by running them, according to Ron Fahron. This setup therefore, is neater than having four expansion pipes running under the kneeler trays, and keeps materials and weight to a minimum. If you look at photographs of the Kim Newcombe solo (and the majority of other Konig solos and sidecars over the years) they too run the same system as we are using here.

I would argue with the 130 horses unless they're Ponies. If they were shire horses then nobody would have been riding TZ's? Bruv's Krauser was only knocking out 133-140 at the back wheel depending on the pipes he was using and that was 1995ish on the dyno. Gary of course knows dynos better than any of us so I'll leave it to him to explain the finer points :? They sound more like Wrathall horses.. or of course it's tuned like a modern bike and not really a classic? At this point Classic racing gets complicated and I'll get me coat 8-)

Gary you know how fast they were, Colin or Bob Nicholson was running a Konig when we were kids when your dad had the Smake. Whatever they were they were quicker than Dad's NSU :D :D

Wrathal horses .. now that i like !!

I dont remember them years ago as was too busy pi$$ing around in the Brands Hatch land fill site in the woods behind druids ... lol

Was thinking that the chassis was very original F2 ish .. and a top TZ was 80 bhp .

Now they were bloody quick , so was thinking anything around that figure would blitz the classic scene ( if they allowed in it as not sure on rules )

Heard lots about them but not actually seen one before ... looks a lovely bit of kit

Me, you, Shaun Baldock  I split me head open on the bank by the M20 in about 1981ish rolling down a hill but that really IS off topic :D

Really does look a nice piece of kit. As you're saying it looks like a lovely F2, is that why the Gentlemen of Racing are doing Classics and not this FII now?
Can of worms, open at your own will  8-)

Shaun always looked like he'd just come out of the land fill site and thats when he was racing ...

I must admit i find the classics very "interesting" now .

I look at F1 , F2 and classics and find they all have there own plus points , in their own way .

This Konig sure does help swing the balance .. 8-)

Tis a lovely looking bit of kit. I couldn't get on it of course, it would make me look fat. I'll stick to a big F1 that makes me look less elephantine.

Tim Mate! It looks lovely, I think we're just jealous deep down :D

Nice one Tim - and I bet it will sound as good as it looks

I'm staying out of the can of worms this time, prefer the quiet life, apart from engine/exhaust noises that is ;)
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!
